This small pictorial map was created by Raymond Peynet and focuses on present-day Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. A few key cities and major rivers are shown, however the majority of the map is filled with illustrations of natives, temples (including Angkor Wat), an elephant, and traditional fishing boats. The map is partially bordered by small squares depicting some of the key natural resources and locations in Indochina, as well as portraits of Francis Garnier, who assisted the French in gaining control of the Red River Delta, and Paul Doumer, Governor-General of French Indochina from 1897 to 1902. This map was apparently from a French map card game that depicted French colonial outposts.
