This 72-page auto guide was written by C.H. Carlquist and published by John Burt. It was “dedicated to motorists who wish to safely and conveniently enjoy the Intermountain Region to the fullest extent.” The guide includes strip maps and driving directions for 25 routes in Utah as well as parts of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona. Unlike other guides, this production focuses on illustrating the strip maps with points of interest and a bit of humor, making them more engaging and useful. The centerfold to the guide features a bird’s-eye view of Salt Lake City and the surrounding mountains with points of interest at bottom. Pictorial wrappers. We found no past sales records for this map and 5 institutional examples on OCLC.
