This decorative historical map of the southwestern United States & Mexico was compiled by Joseph Hill and illustrated by Dillon Lauritzen. It was issued as a supplement to Touring Topics, a monthly magazine focused on automobile tourism. The colorful map is filled with the tracks of 30 Spanish explorations from De Vaca and Coronado to Vial, Mares and Fragoso with a key at lower left. Illustrations include Indians, buffaloes, bear, coyotes, pictorial topography, and more. Explorer portraits surround the map with accompanying descriptive text. On a full sheet with English text measuring 42.3 x 28.2".
