A. Plan de la Rade et Ville de la Vera-Cruz... / Grondtekening van de Rheede en Stad la Vera-Cruz..., dated 1754, black & white (6.1 x 7.8"). This attractive copper engraved chart details the fortified city of Vera Cruz and surroundings including the Fort de St. Jean d'Ulua. Outside of the fortified walls are the Redoute de al Galette, Chapelle de St. Sebastien, and the Chapelle de Christ. Seven important features are named and keyed to the map. Soundings and sailing hazards are noted in the bay. Southeast of Veracruz is the Petits Ruisseaux. Large compass rose with rhumblines. Engraved by Van der Schley. Condition: A crisp impression on a bright sheet with some minor cockling of the paper.
B. Plan de Port Royal et de ses Environs Situe dans la Baye de Campeche, circa 1755, hand color (5.5 x 7.4"). Handsome little plan of the Bay of Campeche and the Laguna de Terminos showing safe anchorages in the lagoon. Large compass rose and rococo title cartouche. Condition: A nice impression, issued folding with a couple of minor spots of foxing and small remnants of hinge tape in the top corners of the sheet on recto.
C. Plan du Port d'Acapulco sur la Cote du Mexique dans la Mer du Sud, from Le Petit Atlas Maritime, circa 1764, black & white (6.0 x 7.5"). A bird's-eye plan of Acapulco that is centered on the Fort St. Diego with the village on the south shore. A lettered key identifies 14 locations. North is oriented to the left. Condition: A dark impression, issued folding with light offsetting, a binding trim at right, and a tiny chip at bottom right.
