This wall-sized poster shows the aviation and railroad routes throughout the world during the mid-twentieth century. Countries are designated with their nation's flag, and only cities along the travel routes are identified. Several important events in aviation history are also shown, including Lt. John Harding, Jr.'s aerial circumnavigation around the world in 1924 and the Graf Zeppelin circumnavigation in 1929, along with images of the aircraft. Surrounding the oval map are 52 oval vignettes depicting important sites, people, and native animals that can be found around the world, such as the White House, New York City, Toronto, a Native American chief, a polar bear, and Hollywood silent movie actress Clara Bow.
