Finely engraved and beautiful map of Holland with two insets of the Dutch commercial empire in America and Southeast Asia. The first is of Niew Neederland, the Dutch colony in present-day New York, and includes a miniature view of New Amsterdam (New York City). The other is of the East Indies with a similar view of the Dutch trading capital of Batavia (Jakarta). Another inset in the opposite corner details the Maas River valley. A large drape-style cartouche includes the coats of arms and administrative structures of various lordships, counties and duchies in Holland.
