A well-engraved map that extends from Calais in the south to Antwerp and Zeeland in the north. Rivers, forests, political boundaries, and hundreds of towns are shown, with the largest cities marked with miniature bird's-eye views. The map is embellished by a sea monster and strapwork title and distance scale cartouches that are respectively balanced by a pair of birds and two fish on a line. French text on verso. This edition is not listed in Van der Krogt, but based upon the page numbers (pp. 369-72), it would have been issued after 1633.

References: Van der Krogt (Vol. I) #3200:1A.

Condition: B+

A nice impression on a clean sheet with a few abrasions along the centerfold with minor loss of image. A couple of short edge tears in the bottom blank margin have been closed on verso with archival tape.
