A handsome map of the Seventeen Provinces that is densely engraved with hundreds of tiny towns. The elegant title cartouche is surrounded by allegorical figures representing Fame, the goddess Athena, and historical figures. The key to the map is elaborate, with garlands, a coat of arms, and topped with the symbolic Lion of the Low Countries. The map is dedicated to Johannes Munter. This is the second state, with the addition of an "A" at top right.

A nice impression with full contemporary color, light toning along the centerfold, and archival repairs to separations along the centerfold, a short tear at top, and two short tears in the bottom border.
