Superb bird's-eye plan of the fortifications for Strasbourg and the surrounding countryside. Below the map is a panoramic view of the great city with numerous buildings marked. The view is set in an elaborate border flanked by opposing allegorical vignettes of Bellona (Peace) on the left and Mercury and Ares, god of War, on the right.
