This superb panoramic view depicts Dantzig (Gdansk), the primary seaport for the Kingdom of Poland. It captures the city from the vantage of a hill, with a bustling road outside the fortified walls showing numerous figures, men on horseback, and horse-drawn carriages. There is remarkable detail of the city's architecture and fortifications, with a lettered key below the view identifying important sites. Sailing ships in the Baltic are visible in the distance. Printed from two separate plates, joined.
