This highly detailed map of Switzerland extends to include portions of present-day Italy, France, and Germany. It graphically depicts the rugged terrain of the region, identifies hundreds of tiny villages, and locates numerous lakes and rivers in the valleys. Decorated by three cartouches with several putti. Engraved by Johann Baptist Homann.

A nice impression with full contemporary color, light dampstaining at top, and an old paper repair on recto at top that obscures a small portion of the upper border. Small remnants of hinge tape on verso.
