Hardbound in blue cloth with title in gilt and illustrated dust jacket. Signed by the author. Condition: Near fine, with slightly bumped corners.

A companion piece to the seven-part PBS series that aired around the 500th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in the New World, this in-depth volume investigates Columbus and his complicated legacy. It is lavishly illustrated with photos, period drawings, and maps (240 in color, 96 in black & white). 370 pages. Hardbound with tan cloth and blue boards, with gilt tile on spine and an illustrated dust jacket. Condition: Contents are clean and tight. Corners are slightly bumped, and there is minor wear to the dust jacket.
