This brochure map is a promotional item from the "most attractive hotel in New England," the Hotel Elton of Waterbury, Connecticut. The principle map (28.4 x 12.8") depicts the Air Line, a scenic motor route that stretches from New York to Boston, in bold red line, while the "New Air Line" connecting Waterbury to Boston and set to open in the fall of 1927 appears as a dotted red line. There is plenty of information on the distance between various locales. Above the main map is a strip map showing the route from Waterbury to Montreal. At right there is another strip map stretching from Quebec City to Newburyport. Three more strip maps on verso show how the Elton connects to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C. The maps are the work of Mixer's Road Guide and Strip Maps. Also on verso are advertisements for other hotels that joined the Elton in publishing this brochure. Self-folding into pictorial wrappers (4.2 x 9.4").
