This basic bird’s-eye view of Atlanta was published by the Georgia Power Company and shows various buildings and points of interest, which are numbered to a key at bottom. The trolley and bus lines of the Georgia Power Company are also prominently depicted with a secondary key defining the various routes. The map has several reminders of this segregation era, identifying separate buildings for Service Men’s Centers, Y.M.C.A.’s, and a theater for “colored.” The verso includes a map of downtown and related key. A USO “Welcome” note is stapled to the front wrapper. Self-folding (3.5 x 9.1”). We found only two past sales records for this map and a single institutional example on OCLC.
