This important map covers most of Mexico through the Gulf of Panama and includes parts of Cuba and Florida. It is finely engraved to show major cities, rivers, and lakes. The Spanish colonial audiencias are delineated with dotted lines. Engraved by Somer and embellished with a bold and elegant title cartouche.

Full contemporary color with light toning, a few tiny spots of foxing, and a small abrasion at bottom with a tiny amount of the map border replaced in facsimile. Trimmed to the border on all sides and professionally laid on a folio sheet of hand-laid paper.
