This handsomely engraved small map of Cuba and Jamaica also includes the tip of Florida and part of Hispaniola. It is adorned with a simple title block, compass rose, and a large scale of miles surmounted by two cherubs holding a portrait of Christopher Columbus. This map appeared in a variety of publications, including Carte des Itineraires (1707), Atlas Nouveau (ca. 1710), and La Galerie Agreable (1729). The example here includes an alternate French title below the lower neatline: Iles de Cuba et de la Jamaique.

A nice impression on a wide-margined sheet with the watermarks of a Strasbourg Lily and "Beauvais." There is a hint of toning along the centerfold and sheet's edges.
