This strange and striking engraving shows the exotic beasts one might find on an island off the coast of Brazil. The creatures have bizarrely humanoid features, with the most notable (and unsettling) example being a bearded ape-like being. Surrounded by an ornate border. Engraved by Smith. Printed for Alexander Hogg.
