Charming miniature map showing the island and the important port of Angra. Decorated with strapwork title and scale cartouches, a sailing ship and two tiny sea monsters. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published by Jan van Keerbergen. Latin text on verso, published in either the 1609 or 1612 edition.
