An attractive color lithograph by Derouet Lesacq for the French National Lottery. It depicts a leaning Eiffel Tower with lottery flag at top. In the Seine River below are numerous 1,000 Franc notes floating in the water with spectators lining up across a bridge and along the shore. Printed by Lafayette in Paris. The French Lottery, now La Française des Jeux (FDJ) was created in 1933 to benefit war veterans and provide assistance to victims of agricultural disasters.
