Based on the cartography of Johann Criginger (1521-1571), this fine map places Prague just north of center. It is boldly engraved in Ortelius' style; mountains and forests and hundreds of tiny villages are shown. Two sumptuous strapwork cartouches decorate the bottom. Latin text on verso.

Condition: B+
Full contemporary color on a bright sheet with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There are some small abrasions along the centerfold, light dampstains in the top margin, and an old paper repair in the bottom margin on recto.
