This is the second state of this charming miniature map drawn in a hemispheric projection, with the various seas named on the map. California is depicted as an island on the Briggs model, with a flat northern coast. Part of the coasts of New Guinea and New Zealand are depicted but not named, and the named Solomon Islands dominate the Pacific. A minutely engraved galleon decorates the map. Titled above in German: Das Neue Veste Land Nebst Vielen Inseln with Fig. 86.
