This striking engraving highlights the role of the coconut in Indian culture was published in the account of Linschoten's expedition to the East Indies. The engraving also shows areca nuts, various palms, and a banana tree. Designed by Linschoten and engraved by Baptista van Doetecum.

Condition: B+

A crisp impression with faint dampstaining in the upper corners and a few spots in the text at bottom. An edge tear and a couple chips in the upper blank margin have been repaired with archival materials.
