Very scarce Italian map illustrating the eastern part of the United States. The map extends beyond the Mississippi River to the central plains to include some of Texas and the Sabine River. Texas is not named. Incorrectly shows Arkansas in its large, earlier configuration. Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama are also misshapen. Good detail of the major rivers throughout the region. In the lower margin is the cartographer's embossed stamp. This scarce map was separately issued, most likely from a subscription as these maps were mailed loose allowing the subscriber the pleasure of choosing the content and style of binding.
