This colorful pictorial map promoting the soon-to-be state (1959) was drawn by artist Don Bloodgood and distributed by John M. (Jack) Anderson of the News Air Company in Anchorage. It is filled with cartoonish characters and playful illustrations highlighting the territory's attractions including natural wonders, points of interest, historical sites, and much more. A few highlights include Mt. McKinley, Alaska Highway, Artic Circle Hot Springs, Fort Yukon, and more. Text to the right of the title declares that while Alaska is "Long known as America's Last Frontier of pioneering, Alaska is now becoming America's First Frontier of play, adventure and opportunity." The verso contains related text and illustrations and an unused mailing address panel. Copyrighted by H.S. Crocker in San Francisco. Self-folding into pictorial wrappers (5.5 x 9.0").
