This lovely view shows New York City in the distance as viewed from Weehawken, New Jersey, with numerous sailboats in the Hudson River. Published in Nathaniel Parker Willis' monumental work, American Scenery, which includes numerous beautifully executed steel engravings by William Henry Bartlett, accompanied by descriptive text from N. P. Willis. This example includes 2 pages of text describing the view.

A nice impression with light foxing. The text pages are lightly toned with scattered foxing and a couple of rust stains from an old paper clip in the top margin.
