This attractive view looks south from the new 250-foot spire of the Brick Presbyterian Church. The church had recently acquired a portion of the "Waddell Castle" estate in 1856 and after two years of construction, opened up their new doors at the corner of 5th Avenue and 37th Street. Drawn by Hitchcock and engraved by Anthony. Published in the April 23, 1859 issue of Harper's Weekly.

A crisp impression on a clean sheet. There are three small binding holes along the centerfold that have been archivally repaired on verso.
