This rare pictorial map of the Ohio Wesleyan University campus was published as a supplement to Le Bijou, the university's annual yearbook. The title continues, "'East Side - West Side' - All Around the Town of Delaware Ohio - Site of Ohio Wesleyan University Which This Le Bijou Survey Purports to Map and Record as of the Year 1935 and 1936 Rendered with Artistic License." The right side of the sheet shows a bird's-eye view of campus, with streets named and buildings of note identified, among them Monnett Hall, Stuyvesant Hall, Slocum Library, Gray Chapel, the houses of various fraternities and professors, and the football field. Several cartoony figures pepper the landscape, most notably Branch Rickey, the baseball player and executive who signed Jackie Robinson; Coach George Gauthier, who served as the head coach of the football team for 26 years and as athletic director for 34 years; and William F. Bigelow, the editor of Good Housekeeping. At left, below the banner title cartouche, are the words and music to the alma mater song and the pride song, as well as portraits of 7 university presidents. The composition is completed with the Ohio Wesleyan seal, an ornate compass rose, and a windhead. No artist credited.
