This interesting broadside features American Revolution vignettes surrounding the map. The map legend indicates the positions of American, French, and British troops through coloring. General Washington's command post is noted, as are the ships Guadeloupe and Charon, numerous sunken vessels, and Count de Grasse's fleet. Above the map is a hand-colored view of the Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, at Yorktown, VA, Oct. 19, 1781 with a description below identifying the various parties at the surrender. Other images around the map include portraits of Rochambeau, Choise, de Lauzun, Washington and la Fayette, and views of the Nelson Mansion, Moore's House, Rosewell, and Pocahontas saving the life of Smith. A rarely seen item that was likely issued as part of America's Centennial celebration. Not listed on OCLC.
