This gorgeous view depicts Frederiksted on St. Croix, which at the time was part of the Danish West Indies. The idyllic waterfront scene shows part of Fort Frederik, fishermen trawling for their catch in a rowboat, and livestock wading in the shallows. It was published by Em. Baerentzen & Co. in Danmark, a very rare collection of lithographs showcasing the sights of the Danish empire. Drawn on stone by E. Westerberg after a drawing by Capt. P. Seidelin.
