A beautiful map of the Channel Islands that shows Guensey with Castle Cornet offshore. The islands are depicted with charming pictorial topography and representations of houses, churches, and hazards at sea. The title cartouche is decorated with sheep and shepherds; the scale of miles is surrounded by fetching merfolk. French text on verso, published between 1645-48.

Condition: B
A dark impression with full contemporary color, light printer's ink residue, a few spots of foxing, and a dampstain at bottom that enters the map border in the left corner and at the centerfold.
