This eye-catching pictorial map of London by L.G. Bullock was intended for use by children. It covers the area from Hyde Park to London Tower and St. Pancras Station to Victoria Station. The densely filled map displays parks, buildings, named streets, and several quotations from the likes of Noyes, Kipling, and Cowher. True to its intended audience, the map is surrounded by numerous small vignettes depicting nursery rhymes including Humpty Dumpty, Jack & Jill, and Little Miss Muffett, as well as six related coats of arms. Signed in the plate by L.G. Bullock at lower right. Blank verso.
The map is still bound in the 64-page volume describing the city and features additional double-page maps within the text including A Route Map to London Showing the Old City, The City of London, and The City of Westminster. Octavo, hardbound in pictorial paper boards.

The folding map is clean and colorful with a few short splits at the fold junctions. The other illustrations are clean and bright and the text is lightly toned. Hinges are starting to separate, and the coves have some shelf wear.
