This is a very beautiful map due to the highly decorative title cartouche filling the Baltic Sea. It covers the northern portion of Poland (Gdansk south to Torun) and the Baltic coast, Konigsburg (Kaliningrad) and into Lithuania. It is highly detailed throughout with roads, cities and towns. The title cartouche features a portrait of Frederick III, King of the Prussian dynasty, surrounded by an elaborate allegorical scene of his coronation in 1701. Inset with a map of Neufchatel.

A sharp impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with a very faint stain that enters the image near bottom centerfold and a minor printer's crease at bottom center. There is a short centerfold separation that enters the border at bottom and has been closed on verso with archival tape.
