This informative poster serves as a promotional piece for the Psychological Warfare Branch of the U.S. Army in the Philippines, where the branch's mission was "whittling down of the enemy's fighting spirit." A pictorial map (16.3 x 11.9") at upper left illustrates two bombers dropping leaflets across the Philippines with flags indicating the quantities distributed on each island. In total, nearly 72 million leaflets were dropped in the Philippines, most of which were intended for Japanese troops (61 million). Related text describes the effectiveness of the program - both lowering morale for Japanese troops and also engaging Filipinos in restoring freedom and democracy. Illustrations at bottom include Filipinos running after leaflets and captured Japanese soldiers in an Allied internment camp. Marked as Restricted - SWPA (South West Pacific Area).
