This lovely map was originated by Nicolas Sanson and here reissued by his successor, Alexis-Hubert Jaillot. It covers the 'boot' of southern Italy in considerable detail and also part of Albania and Greece, including Corfu. The title cartouche features two men taming spirited horses and two angels supporting a coat of arms. The four distances scales are also enclosed in a decorative cartouche.

A crisp impression with contemporary outline color. There is a hint of toning along the centerfold and some minor dampstains along the sheet edges, far from the map image.
