A large sheet of vellum containing five-line music from a Gradual. It is boldly written in Latin in black and red ink with two huge initials hand-painted in red and blue ink. The text is based on Acts 9, verses 11 and 15, and translates as:
Go Ananias and seek Saul
for behold, he prays;
because it is a vessel of choice for me
to bear my name before the nations
and to the kings and children of Israel.
