This beautifully engraved map was published in John Reid's rare American Atlas, which was the second atlas to be published in America. It shows the entire continent in very fine detail including towns and settlements, coastal regions, interior watersheds, and topography. The mythical Lake Parime appears in Guiana. It extends to locate Georgia Island and the Sandwich Island group to the east of Tierra del Fuego. There is also good detail of the Galapagos Islands. Engraved by B. Tanner.
