This is the elegantly composed title page for the Royal Geographical Society folio atlas, which was assembled from 27 separate mailings (1854-62) as part of Fullarton's Gazetteer of the World. It shows female representations of the continents and a lion standing on a platform in the middle of the ocean, with Geometria above them with a map, a globe, and dividers. Engraving is credited to W.B. Scott and W. Holl. Published in London and Edinburgh by A. Fullarton & Co.
