This is the rare complete set of broadsides by Ricker & Murphy issued in the Colorado Springs Gazette on New Year's Day, 1888. At the center of Part 1 are views of Cheyenne Canon Park, with a mountain view cleverly presented on a painter's palette as its heart. Surrounding the views are 21 views of regional churches, railroad stations, schools, businesses, and the Colorado Springs City Hall. Part 2 emphasizes the Broadmoor Dairy and Live Stock Company, with vignettes of cattle and the various company buildings. There are 14 more views on the sheet illustrating locations in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, including Alamo Square, Acacia Place, and notable residences. Part 3 features 18 more views, among them the head of the Colorado Spring Water Works, the Colorado Midland Railways Shops, the opera house, Manitou Caverns, hotels, and manors. These examples are all mounted on linen.
