This map of the southern part of Sweden depicts the forests, lakes and numerous place names. The large cartouches have a military theme with Mars and his fierce hounds atop the title. The map is further embellished with several sailing ships and coats of arms. This is the first state with a scales cartouche at lower left. Latin text on verso, published between 1640-43.

Full contemporary color on watermarked paper with an archivally repaired 1.25" fold separation at top. There are a couple of repaired chips in the blank margins and a small dampstain confined to the top blank margin.
