This beautiful panoramic view of Stockholm is based on Braun & Hogenberg's view of the city. Stockholm is shown from the northeast with the cathedral of St Nicholas at center and the Tre Kronor castle at left. The Tre Kronor castle burned down in 1697, and the Stockholm Palace was built in its place in the 18th century. The view is topped by the coat of arms of Sweden.

A sharp impression on a sheet with a jester watermark, with faint stains that are mostly confined to the top margin and a chip at top center that has been repaired. Remnants of hinge tape on verso.
