A decorative map that shows Saintonge from La Rochelle to the mouth of the Seudre River and from the Atlantic to Angouleme, including the famous city of Cognac (Congnac). Saintonge was the birthplace of the famous French explorer Samuel de Champlain. Embellished with three simple cartouches. French text on verso, published between 1639-44.
