This elephant folio-sized map is centered on the city of Orleans and extends to include the cities of Chartres, Etampes, Auxerre, Bourges, and Tours. Dozens of towns are identified, with the larger ones illustrated with a miniature bird's-eye view. The title cartouche features Pan, grapes and a man drinking from a pitcher.

A sharp impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with the watermark of Pieter van der Ley. There are some small spots in the blank margins and a centerfold separation that just enters the map border at bottom and has been closed on verso with archival tape.
