This attractive map of North America and the West Indies features an Independent Texas and Oregon Territory extending well into Canada, reflecting American interests. Mexico controls all of the Southwest and California. Individual states are not shown, but the Republic of Texas is well shown and labeled. Alaska is Russian America, and the west coast consists of Neu Albion, Neu Californien, and Alt Californien. Engraved by Leutemann. A seldom seen issue.
