Beautifully engraved chart of the Atlantic, north of the equator, delineated with rhumb lines and a fleur-de-lys. A good portion of each of the continents is shown with major port cities named. In North America the Appalachian Mountains are depicted with the colonies of Carolina, Virginia, N. York and New England. Also named are New Orleans and Florida. The chart is surrounded in an elaborate, rococo border, embellished with navigation instruments. Tiny bit of foxing mostly in margins and not at all distracting.
