Attractive map of the continent, including the Atlantic islands and just a bit of Brazil. The Nile river is depicted originating is small lakes named "Damot and Dambea". There is considerable detail throughout with several notations. Crisply engraved with a compass rose and a title cartouche featuring elephants, an ostrich and a man wrestling a crocodile. Long tear extending from left margin to fold, professionally repaired and now nearly invisible.
