Uncommon map of the Americas with a large, uncolored, title cartouche and two small compass roses. Nova Albion is located in northern California with Quivira above. A NORTHWEST PASSAGE is depicted flowing from "Lacus Ouinipigon". The British Colonies are confined east of the Appalachians with the French in control of Florida, occupying the central region of North America, and most of Canada. Nice original color. Tear just entering bottom border, repaired with archival tape. Damp stain at paper edge, well away from map and an ink smudge in the southern Atlantic.
