Excellent copper engraved map of the continents with the first voyage of Capt. Cook (1768) depicted around South America and across the Pacific to New Zealand, which is well charted. North America is shown with the mythical NORTHWEST PASSAGE and discoveries of Admiral de Fonte. Lovely cartouche with a sleeping lion. The map has been cleaned, leaving just a hint of original color and should be recolored, else very good with a sharp impression.
