Superb map of the region surrounding the city of Namur. Based on the once secret map of Jacques Surhon (1555) the map was engraved in 1579 and this example is from a Latin edition of 1595. Richly decorated with two cartouches and a very unusual compass rose. Very fine old color. Ref: van den Broecke #68. Old repair in margin, still very fine.
