Henrik de Leth was successor to the Visscher firm and a skilled engraver as well as a mapseller and publisher. The map is based on the work of the famous French cartographer Guillame de lsle. It is a very detailed and fascinating map of northeastern Africa, the Red Sea and the Arabian peninsula showing the political divisions and Kingdoms. The Nile originates in the 'Lake de Danee'. Splendid original coloring. Tiny split in bottom margin, else very fine.
