Volume III only containing plates and maps with no text. Numerous engraved maps by W. & J.W. Lowry, most dated in the 1820's and 30's, including two folding maps of the Northern and Southern hemispheres, an eight sheet map of America, some nice city plans, and a linen backed folding map of England. All maps are very detailed. The plates include subjects from agriculture to surveying instruments with some fascinating early machinery including a plate of an early flying machine! Some scattered foxing affecting some plates, but most are very good. Front cover detached and spine leather is missing. Sold as a collection of plates.
